BENI SUEF CEMENT CO . (BCC) - Beni Suef
The office was involved in this factory from the very beginning of an idea to completion and production. Working as consultants to KOBE STEEL of JAPAN (KSL), our office surveyed the site (the location was displaced from the originally chosen site), investigated it geotechnically then issued all design drawings - with the cooperation of KSL civil engineering team - to the consultant of the owner for revision then endorsement. Actual structural designs began 1989 and construction work started immediately afterwards. The main contractor was KSL and the civil engineering subcontractors were the Arab Contractors. The Erection subcontractor was Focchi of Italy . The theoretical production capacity was 1,000.000.00 Tons per annum but - practically - it achieved - at least - 20% more. The factory started production 1993. Presently KSL is negotiating with BCC for a second production line in the same factory with our office as consultants. |

The machine suppliers are Danish and the Arab Contractors will do both civil as well as erection work. Our scope also includes shop drawings, rebar lists and CLAIMS . Our work is further extended by a new commission from our client to design the “ Preheater Tower ”. The initial idea by the suppliers was for a reinforced concrete preheater.
